Have a customer that wants me to frame there daughters gall stones.

Does anyone know if cilicone affects these babies. Any better ideas of fixing them appreciated.

Framing ideas considered as well. (Thinking simple with a plaque but open to suggestions?)

Go to Container Store and get a small plastic box in which to house them. This can be affixed to the mat with no adhesive touching the stones.

Sam you sure do get weird jobs!

I wouldn't know how to answer that question because I have no idea what a gall stone looks like or how big it would be. Or how many of them there are?

I like the plastic container idea.

Good one Rick!

I have a couple of tiny little clear glass cases, about 1"x1" with a magnifying lens as the cover - for mineral specimens and such - I think I bought these in a museum store. I bought them years ago and they have not yellowed so they might be perfect for this project - make the stones look bigger than they really are - more ouchy, doncha know?

Years ago Vivian Kistler told us during a seminar that she had framed a taxidemist's cat. I always thought that was about the strangest I had heard of. However, this might be an awfully close second!

Gall stones are a piece of cake.... so to speak.

Find a jewelry supply; you just need the inexpensive silver costume jewelry Tiffany setting. A tiny dot of silicone on the tips of the tines will keep the stone from moving around in the setting.

I've done my fair share, now it's your turn.

They stand out best on deep blood red velour backing.
