Hello! I have been using the FullCalc framing program for about 4 years now, and have had a few issues with how things work, but generally have been quite happy with it. I would be interested to talk with any other framers using the program to discuss their concerns or ideas, and maybe if we approached the company as a "team" we could get some positive changes made. I sometimes feel like I am the first person to mention things, and wonder if I am the only one that calls with criticisms......Alot of my business contacts in town (not in my industry) say "get a different program", but any of you who have put a program to work in your shop know the work involved, so I really would like to stay with what I have, and what I know how to use......and what I have paid for........As a last resort I would switch to a different program though. Thanks for any input! Lori

I had been using FullCalc for about 6 years and found the same problems with the support as you have described. About 6 months ago I switched to Specialty Soft. ( www.specialtysoft.com )Call (800)417-9248 & talk to Olivia Shaw she is very helpful. She might be somewhat busy right now as they are hosting a users symposium starting this Sunday. It was the right move for me. Go with the advice of your business contacts.

I am glad you are having such good luck Whit the fullcalc program I have not been so lucky.
I have had to call on their customer support twice once to transfer the program to a new computer and once to resolve an issue caused by a virus. Both times I have ended up so frustrated I could have killed. their techs are not well spoken they have a tendency to leave you listening to dead air while they find the answer. One told me to put my back up into the new computer I would need to purchase a networking cable. We finally resolved that I figured out which dbf files I needed and installed it myself. With the virus issue after 3 days and watching a tech "play"( I am computer literate) I Finlay figured out that the virus had move the program compatibility and that was all the needed to be changed. 3 days and 7 lost clients later I did my own tech support.
When it runs it is an assume program when it don't it is nearly imposable to get it fixed.

just my opinion

I, on the other hand, like FullCalc just fine. I have used tech support and found them to be helpful and knowledgeable. I wonder if there are FullCalc Twins, one good and one evil?
