Freestyle Music Park opened today and we will be there at 3:05 PM.

So far I have given quotes on 422 pieces of which 22 were dropped off yesterday at noon and since I had customers in all day I had to frame them after work. Finished about 11PM.

When these pieces were dropped off I learned the reason for the hold up on their comittment to get started. They saw that I was listed as a creditor for Hard Rock Park and were shy about asking for open terms. When I quoted the job I was asked how I wanted to be paid and I replied "by check". She said "So just drop off a check with the artwork" and I replied "Sure". They never asked for terms so I never offered. The finance manager stopped in and was dancing around the subject but finally asked for terms. We were able to agree on terms that were fair to both parties and the stuff will be coming over regularly now.

So you'll be there at 3. How long do you think they'll be there?

Just kidding, hope they have a better run than Hard Rock did. That really should have been a gold mine.

These guys are doing all of the right things to succeed. Anual passes are $65 for non-residents and $55 for Carolina residents. They have added about a half dozen rides and got a couple others working that were not running last year. Food should be more reasonable this year also since the least expensive item was $7.95 last year. This group is all about making the locals happy. One day admission price has come down and coupons will be everywhere for tourists.

The previous lead guy keeps suing them trying to get royalties for the concept. All rides and attractions have been rebranded. The most recent lawsuit was ruled in the new owners favor yesterday as the old guy was trying to prevent the opening while blackmailing for royalties. This old guy is a horses a$$ and until last year I didn't know why all of the local despise him. Its pretty obvious now.

No, he is Steve Goodwin. Tons of family money from Israel and way too much free time on his hands. Every time he starts something he proclaims he will change Myrtle Beach to a higher class area (like that could ever happen). The million dollar condos at the Grande Dunes on the Marina are now selling for under $300,000. Houses on a golf course start at $100k now. A great house on a nice golf course can be had for $200K.

I guess he keeps trying it here because if he went to Miami where he belongs he would be one of many fish in the sea.

Burroughs & Chapin will most likely need to file bankruptcy in the next few months. They are so overleveraged and all of their notes are coming due with the properties dropping to half of their financed values.

I hope that they do well, and that their success rubs off onto your business!

I have the ice cream shop for sale so I hope they attract nice crowds. When I am done framing for displays over there I will pitch some retail art souvenir items for the gift shops.

Looks like I'll be adding a CMC to regain some time.

Selling ready mades has created a daily stream of traffic for me. There is an art festival every 15 minutes here during the summer and everybody is an artist or photographer.
