I just received this info in today's email. The temperature strip included in the kit is very accurate and re-usable to check press temperatures as often as you like.

When I called the 800 number, they didn't know what I was talking about & said to fax it to them
I don't know why they email something that you can't email back a response to

I received the email from Picture Framing Magazine. My Bainbridge rep told me about them a few months ago.

The link to the pdf copy of the brochure is full of helpful infomation. The only thing missing is the re-usable temperature strip.

I have used that same temperature indicator in the past and it is probably more accurate than the non-contact IR type temperature indicators, which are prone to erroneous readings due to various emissivities of the heated surface.
