Looking for any info or ideas for the framing of a Native American headdress such as mounting, foam head form use or other methods of displaying and also building the framing including colors and styles if you have suggestions. Thanks!

Is it an antique/real vintage headress? Just curious. If it is an authentic, truly old one....there are some legal issues possible. L.

Long and flowing or smaller? A plexi box may be better than an uber deep shadowbox. And in another thread about beveling museum glass Jim had a photo of a display case he had made for a model replica boat. It had a nice "old" feel to it that would benefit the head dress.

You might be better off working with someone who makes mounts and display cases for museums, and then adding the middle man charge. There are some real artists out there who can give you something that provides chemical and physical stability and support for the headdress while being aesthetically beautiful in its own right.
