Any suggestion on how you would frame a 24 x 32 WWII may printed on parachute silk. It is really in great condition I have not quoted a price, but that is not a issue I have some ideas of my own, but would like to hear some more. I also took in a civil war cap, medal and discharge papers, any suggestion on those too.

I understand shadow boxing, but do you have any suggestions on how to mount the cap.

You're going to have to sew it down - use cotton thread. Avoid sewing through the fabric of the cap. Is there some element - strap, side button, buckle - around which you could fasten the thread? If you need to stuff the cap for body, use acid-free tissue or nylon netting. Be VERY careful about this. If the cap has been stored flat for the last hundred years, leave it flat. Hope this helps. Tell us more about what the finished framing will look like - sounds like an interesting project. Kit
