framesquare saw

Posted this on biz issues, but it should probably go here....Any of you out there using a framesquare saw? Can you give me some hints and tips? (I've used pistorius and a few others). I'm having trouble figuring it out..... especially for trying to cut very long lengths. I need to cut a 48" x 18" frame... have the extension and the manual...but, I don't know. I'm having a hard time with it! Help! Before I bought the machine, I checked one out and used it and loved it, but it was a while ago and now can not remember it all..

I've been using a framesquare for fourteen years ( bought it used from Warren Tucker in 1990 and he's a cut'ng "fool" ). We love it for non-production cuting ... but long lengths require a little set-up and a little "gig". I'll talk you thru it on Monday ( Labor Day ) if you call between noon and 4:00 pm or Tuesday between 10 & 5 pm. Too many words for a typewritten response.
FYI ... the guys/gals at FrameSquare are very helpful too.
