Mostly for the Vegas Show to show off the clips of my new DVD, but also to show off doing a scooped liner with Dupone silk..

Frame is Griffen, liner is Frank's 2-1/2" shallow scoop [expanded rabit] wrapped in Callcutta raw silk, the fillet is Sterling metal leaf "B" series.

The job retails out at $420. And would normally be finished off with Cambrick cloth backing [under the clips].

The monitor was chosen because all the buttons are on the back..

For a while there...I've anticipated to see a framed monitor lizard.. :D

Maybe a baby Monitor Lizard would be OK, cuz the are BIG.... or maybe a photo....

Or maybe I should throw-up a picture of a Monitor lizard on the framed Monitor, then it would be a Framed Monitor Monitor... :D Glad you liked it.

Come to the Vegas show, I'll show you the back...

Thats purty fabric, I don't think I've seen it before. Maybe I should look into getting a sample? Are there others simmilar in the line? Looks like a bear to wrap one piece on a scoop. What does "Dupone" mean? Ryhmes with Capone or da pony? Or maybe dew'pon the heather? Wish I could be there. We were thinking NAMTA, Boston in the spring time. but the way things have been going that idea seems to be fading too.

Dew Pon Ae or as they would say to the north of us..(all in jest of corse :D )

Do Porn, eh?

Yes there are more.. and more coming, although the &$@%^&*(64 is "wonderful" ((&*^^*((*%#@%^&@#!%&) to work with.

It is a weave of two silks, one "rough" and one "raw". If you end up using ANY heat... it blisters and micro puckers like a Notre Dame Sorority Sister at a whore house.... OK, maybe not quite that bad.

It is absolutely one of the most gorgeous fabrics.. that you can never iron or press....

I had two custom ties made out of it.. one for me and one for Frank. The master tailer brought them out.. and asked me "you know, you never can use press on this fabric." "You wear vewy careful, no iron, no steam... never clean." Then he turned to his son who was raised here... and rattled off in Korean..

The son laughs and says "dad says it's like a young virgin. One rough time and its all over. You have to marry her..."

The scoop is a shallow scoop or I would have never done a seamless. But that was the point.

Great job of selling. But it is gorgeous.

In my more advanced classes, I address these "Not-so-easy-but-gorgeous" fabrics.

Students get a hands on with some of the most difficult and there fore feared fabrics and learn that they just need to be done exactly to standards.

Behave and you won't get spanked. :D

Wish I could be there. I'm really quite polite in public. But I can ask a lot of questions.

That's very nice Baer!! Classy looking too.

But won't the heat from the monitor affect it? Some of those monitors dissipate a decent amount of heat.

I like the frame & the liner a lot.I believe I carry a similar one (I believe mine is from Decor though).

But I would love to carry samples for both frame & liner. Sources??

Instead of lizards, I was thinking Merrimac as in that wonderful sea battle. Pretty piece of work, tho, monitors and merrimacs notwithstanding

Paul, If it is like any other LCD, they are along the bottom of the front bezel. The good thing is that once setup, you won't likely need them.

Sorry, JohnR and Paul, I hadn't realized that the photo of the back is to dark to show the buttons... every button is on the back.... UNLIKE any other monitor on the market... trust me... I spent 6 months looking for one that I could fiddle with if need be.

I've had to go take a picture of a plasma to adjust it because the owner didn't realize that he could do "on screen" with the original controler instead of the "universal"

As for a good picture of a Monitor Liz... I see if I can dig up the one I shot in Tanzania... it was about 7' long.

Frame is from Gryphon... I want to say 10-10-91 but I could be wrong. The liner is FE-CC Calcutta silk.
