I seem to remember a while back, seeing a free/opensource pricing Data base. However, after some searching I can't find it. Does anyone have, or remember what I'm talking about?

Someone created an html frame pricing system for Firefox. I downloaded it out of interest, but never got a chance to look at it.

Yeah, I remember that one. It's a little two specific to Framing, and not in a Download-able format.

I'm looking to modify one that has some pull down menus for another pricing set up I need. I know how to create Pull down menus in Excel, but I'd like to be able to assign a price to text. (ieull down reads 1 color, and when it's there, that text has a numerical value attached to it, so one could then create a calculation in other field.

Sounds like a job for a simple lookup table. Lookup works fine with a text column and adjacent cells/fields can be numerical for your calculation. All easy to do in Excel.

I was able to finally accomplish it in Excel, but I didn't like the way it looked/worked. So I ended up writing an Access Database that I could make pretty in Form View.

I was able to make q-books work great for picture framing business.. Ive used it for 20 years now.. the onlything it will not do is the simple footage calculator.. the plus is that it does all your accounting at the same time.. I use it for all its features and does payroll taxes. I can look at what my business is doing at any time and compare exactly what I'm doing to compared witht the last 10 years. Id be happy to help anyone and would recomend it to everyone.
