Have you used this material yet? If so, how does it compare to the velcro cloth that has been available to the trade for years? Any benefits over the standard cloth?

Your post is about 3 months too late for my use. I recently built 4 - 10 sided moulding display carousels and used indoor/outdoor carpeting on them. It added a bunch of weight to the carousels.
