Question Floatmount loose Canvas

I have a Giclee canvas portrait where the whole office signed around the image in the white boarder that would normally be wrapped around the stretcher bars. The customer wants to frame it, but wants to see all the signatures around it, so we are going to float mount it onto a mat board and use the mat as a "liner" look and the signatures are in gold pen. So my question to you is: how would you float mount this canvas onto the mat board?

They are not discussing float mounting a canvas but this still might be your best choice, you can then float that on your back mat.
