i havent been able to firure out the most efficient and long-lasing way to float mount my small art peices...i do small mixed media works on watercolor paper...the finished peice is generally about 5 x 5. What's the best mounting material?? i can't mount them by press as they are 3-d.. any ideas??
thanks.

try mounting with mullberry paper using a starch paste. I use rice starch. Cut two holes in a rag mat backer and thread your hinges through the holes. Then cut a mat out of your ragboard, leaving a space between the artwork and the mat. You can raise the mat above the surface of the artwork to protect it and set it off visually. just a thought.
