Fletcher Terry CMC 150i

We purchased one of the last CMC 150i units sold before FT sold to Valiani. We still use the original software and computer with no issues until today. We went to start the program and got a message that we needed to "Please enter the software serial number". It also says to contact Fletcher-Terry for the original serial number. We tried to contact them but they said they could not help.

Has anybody else had this issue? Does anyone know who we could contact?

Crescent has been the North American agent for Valiani since they separated from Fletcher Terry, so call Crescent and ask for the Valiani tech support crew. Considering the age of your machine, you might want to consider buying the annual maintenance plan, at least for a year, and have the tech agents tweak your machine's settings, troubleshoot any quirks, and advise about maintenance that would help.

You might benefit from joining the Valiani Facebook group, too. Good conversations there.

I did that for my 2007 Mat Pro 150 iX and it's been running great ever since.

You probably would be wise to buy the V Studio program, which is far superior to the original Valiani software. It's been out for years now and a lot of improvements have been added.

Jeff, how did you end up resolving this issue? We have been using the original computer and software that was here when we purchased the shop and have had no issues up until today when we received the same message.

We had to replace the battery on the motherboard of the CMC control unit. It is simple to do. Finding the battery took a wile. You need a CR2450N. Renata is the only supplier I could find. CR2450 is easy to get, but you need to make sure it is the N. They are different and if isn't the N, it will not work.

Where was the battery if you don't mind me asking? I can't find it at all

I don't remember exactly. You open the black box and I believe you pull the motherboard out. I had a service contract so phone support walked me through it

I found it and exchanged the battery, but a new error message: it is necessary to set Mirrioring mode using Valiani Settings.
