Terry Fletcher decided to discontinue the 6100, because he could not sell enough of them to justify his expenses.

He said he will support the machine for seven more years.

Myself I think he gives up to easy.

Wizard came out of nowere with a mediocer machine, but a great marketing plan.

Fletcher designed and built a great machine and went to market with a mediocer marketing plan.

Myself, I think Terry Fletcher should have come out with a rental plan of his own, but he didn't.

I purchased my machine based on the size of The Fletcher Terry Company, I figured they would outlast everybody in the field, so it was a safe bet, boy was I wrong.

I will give them this though, after announcing the demise of the 6100, they still came out with a great new software update, turning the realy good machine into a great machine.

I wish they would reconsider their decision and go back into the market with a rental program, but, oh well.

Anyway, just my thoughts on the subject.

Well, from the e-mails I've recieved, it turns out that I don't know much about The Fletcher Terry Company.

It is actualy a rather small company that seems to be run by a very timid board of directors.

Terry Fletcher, who I've never met is actually an older fellow who inherited the company. He apparently has little to do with decision making or running the company at all.

They are not allowed to comment on this forum or respond to it in any way, from what I've been told.

The general feeling is that the main reason they discontinued the F6100 was a series of poor decisions on the part of the board of directors and had nothing to do with Terry Fletcher at all.

They never would consider a rental program, even though it was shown to them that it could make money and would be the best way to keep the 6100 alive. They also were afraid to go international with it.

The biggest problem I can see is that these same fellows can arbitarily discontinue any of their products at any time, if they feel they arn't making enough money with it.

It's a darn shame, the company has a history of putting out the best products, yet the management team has very little power to expand or build the company, due to the board of directors lack of intestinal fortitude.

I wish some of the people who e-maild me would have posted here instead. This is the general feeling I got from those e-mails.

Thanks Lance, I don't know how I missed those threads. I guess I just had to much on my plate when they came out.

Sorry for wasting everyones time. At least I got my two cents in.
