Hi, I am having an ongoing problem with the machine, as I adjust the level with the screws, but the area between the screws is raised about an 1/8 of an inch. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?
Thank you

I've never had an issue with my 3100. Its 25+ years old and has been moved 3 times and been leveled each time after its moved. It has been in place for 19 years since its last squaring and is still in square.

There are two pieces of gear that make squaring a lot easier; a carpenters.framing square and a 6' metal ruler. You square one side and the vertical using the carpenters square and then level the two side with the ruler, adjusting only the side not used for the initial square. THe process might be iterative if you have to re-square the vertical.

I don't know what you mean by "the area between the screws is raised about an 1/8 of an inch" but if you follow the procedures you shouldn't have an issue. If you still do, more info is needed.

Don't feel bad I have been trying for 8 years to get mine square and everytime I think I have it, it is not. I have kind of given up hope.

It sounds like you might be tightening one end too much before adjusting the other, causing the bed bar to bow.

There is a protocol to do the adjustments in the owner's manual, but I find it takes a bit of additional tweaking and a small amount of luck to get it just right.
Making sure the cam support doesn't rotate when you do the final tightening is important.
