Hello to all. I have quite a bit of framing equipment that has been in storage for many years that I am looking to sell for a reasonable price. As a little background, this equipment was all purchased brand new back in 1993 or so. It was used for less than a year in a very small business whose main income was stained glass supplies. All of the equipment is in excellent condition, and a few pieces were never even used. Everything is located in North Texas and the shipping will be the responsibility of the purchaser. Here is a list of what I currently have available, and all prices are OBO:

Cassese CS 910 JR asking $1000
VacuSeal 3444H asking $2200
Seal Masterpiece 500T-X Dry Mount Press asking $1800
Fletcher 3000 Multi Material Wall Mount Cutter asking $1100
Carithers Signature CMC48 48" Mat Cutter asking $800
Carithers Signature Oval Mat Cutter (never used) asking $400

I have attached some photos of the equipment. As I said before, they are in storage, covered and packed away neatly. If anyone has serious interest, I would be more than happy to pull the equipment out, clean it up, and get better photos.

I can be reached here on the forum, at jasonmcgowan08@gmail.com, or by phone at 817-312-6340.

Thanks, and hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Welcome to the Grumble Jason.

You are going to find that your prices are really, really high on these items. The Fletcher 3000 can be purchased brand new for several hundred dollars lower than your asking price. Spend some time browsing the for sale section of equipment going back to the beginning of the year to get a better idea.

While your equipment may be like new it is still 18 years old which means you will need to get agressive on the prices. There is a lot of equipment out there so you will need to be competitive on pricing.

I just looked at the photos after my post and there are some serious issues with some of the equipment. Better get it cleaned up and repost it at the new prices for any chance of offers.

Jeff,

Thank you very much for the input. I do realize that the equipment is relatively old, and if my prices are high, I am more than willing to move to make them more relevant to current data. I just haven't found much as of yet. The prices are OBO, and therefore if you think something is worth $200 less than the asking, please offer it, and you may just get a deal. Also, these pictures were taken in about 10 minutes with no clean up done at all other than blowing off some dust. If someone is interested, I will clean them up fully, and send update pictures/video, whatever is requested. I will work on getting better images as time allows. I am only in the area they are stored once a month or so.

Jeff, I would be interested in more info regarding Fletcher3000 wall cutters, brand new for several hundred dollars less than the $1,100. asking(Obo) price of this one. Trying to spend some year end bucks on equip. for tax purposes.

The price was edited Mike, they are about $1,500 from United right now.

Jason with the presses it is very important that you get them up and running to be able to assure a buyer they are in good working condition. Storage can take a toll on the presses so you need to be sure the heating elements are still good. Also the vacuum presses can suffer in the bladder and seal from long term storage. Be sure it seals well without pressure needed to get the seal and the pump should pull near 28 inches of mercury against gravity on the gauge.

Test them out and let us know if there are any issues so we can assist you in the adjustments and repairs to get them running properly. Be sure the pistons are holding the lid open properly as well. There is nothing wrong with good used equipment as long as it functions as it should.

Be sure to get a lot of pneumatic tool oil worked into the lines of the Cassese. I don't remember if it had an oil inlet on it but if not you can add it through the hose nipple. If the nipple points down you can work it in from the coupling on your air hose. Be sure the hose is not connected to the compressor first and squirt a bunch of the pneumatic oil into the coupling and connect to the nipple on the v-nailer.

Now connect the other end to the compressor and start by depressing the foot pedal to engage the horizontal clamp. Do this quite a few times before trying to work the plunger as it will get some oil through the controller and lubricate the seals. Air leaks are common when the seals are dry so don't let that worry you right off the bat. Once you have done that repeat the process by disconnecting the air hose from the compressor first then the v-nailer. The reason to disconnect from the compressor first is to avoid spraying oil in your face and on your clothes.

Add more oil to the coupling and reconnect first to the v-nailer then the compressor. Now you will be ready to cycle the piston to get some oil in there. It may start out sounding sad and weak but once oil moves through the system it should get better pretty quickly. Do this at first with no v-nails loaded untill it seems alright then you can use some v-nails. Dripping some oil in the head assembly is important as well.

If the 910 uses the same driver hammer as the 810 you will need to remove it and grease it with white grease before cycling the piston. Emery cloth should be used to remove any corrosion that is on the hammer.

Jeff,

Again, thanks for the info. I know that the equipment has been used occasionally over the years. It is stored in the families stained glass studio, and we all like things framed from time to time. I will check out the equipment though, and make sure all that you have mentioned is in good working order.

Mike, the Fletcher 3000 listed is in excellent condition and although it isn't brand new, it would still work great as an end of year deduction. Make an offer, and I will also make sure that you get a receipt. :)

First of all, I would like to apologize to the community for not doing a little better research with my pricing before my first posting, and thank you to Jeff for being so kind as to point it out respectfully. I have completed a more thorough research now, and you will find below new prices. These are ALL OBO. I am ready to sell. Have a great day!

This was all completed today, and this machine is working like a champ. No issues whatsoever. Also had the tech clean any surface rust up with fine steel wool, and lightly oil it and wipe it down to keep the rust from coming back. This machine will also come with 5 boxes of assorted nails, and all the accessories that came with it.
