Now that most vendors are into the "mat cutting business" it seems they are hanging on to their flaw board - well, except for the yucky stuff that can't be used as a slip sheet.

So.......what are you all using for flawboard?? Paying premium prices for paper matboard??? Eeeeek.

You could use paper mats, or even alpha cellulose. Considering how long one or two sheets last you, what are you spending -- $25/year?

When I got the bi-weekly (modest exaggeration) discontinued list from Bainbridge, I would immediately pull the discontinued boards from my stock and set them aside for slip sheets.

Oddly, I never ran out.

I get my flaw board from my loal distributor or from Larson Juhl, less tahn $2 a sheet. I use both sides and get more use out of them. A cost of owning the CMC, but well worth it!!

I get my flaw board for about $1.40 a sheet (32 x 40) from my framing supplier. I also use both sides. I have also been using them for mock up some of the more complicted designs. I'm sure my price will be going up soon.

Same as Seth. I have several hundred sheets of paper mats left.

WOW! I'm coming to Iowa! Wonder what gas is per gallon there ;)

Thanks everyone! It sounds like in certain areas of the country the vendors still have flawboard available to you. Three of our four neighborhood vendors are "wholesaling" cut mats to customers - slip sheets are GOLD!
