I have a shadowbox with a state flag and an American flag..is there a correct order for these? These will be side by side so which to the left and which to the right? Thank you very much!
 
The American flag should always have the Stars and blue background in the upper left corner.

when flying two flags on the same pole, the American Flag is always at the top. At least that is what Nicole and I seem to believe, and we are too lazy to check on google.

So we're guessing that the US flag comes first.

Guess I forgot to say they came folded....so thanks! I thought the US flag should be first (left) but a boy scout said always to the right. The TN flag is just red when folded and a smaller flag triangle, not the best from a design standpoint. We will see how it all finishes out.

It can be confusing. Sometimes it will be referred to from the flag's perspective, as in to the flag's right.
