Question Flag frame

A fellow craftsman was asked to build a flag frame, but hasn't got the flag to measure. IKR?

Assuming that it's a casket flag, can anyone suggest what are the appropriate inside dimensions?

Approx. 21.5 x 11 x 3" when the casket flag is measured along the long side down.

when my brother went on deployment and came back, he got a flag that was 3'x5' which is also a common flag size. not sure about the inside measurement when folded though, sorry.

5' X 9.5' unfolded - I believe that is the Military Official Internment Flag size. Approximate size folded is 2.5" thick, 17" high, 25" bottom. The folded sized is determined by how tightly the flag is folded for presentation. I hope this may help.
