Fun techie news: Today we made our first sale from our web site using the new PayPal shopping cart. $350 for a framed print :-) We are slowly adding Buy it Now links to art on our site as we reframe, calculate shipping, and make sure all items are in stock. This customer saw the art in our newsletter, then clicked through to the web site, and bought the framed art then and there. New for us, so we are excited!

And, our new Upload Page was used by several restoration and print customers in the last week. So this is working too, and is a huge help to us and our customers. However, one uploaded an email to us today (!) so I guess there is still a bit of tech confusion out there.

Welcome to the e-commerce world.

Did you get the PayPal card readers to have alongside your Square reader for your phone/tablet? You have to be specific since the headphone jack wiring is not the same on Apple vs Andoid devices. Plug with black plastic rings between the metal rings is Apple. Blue or White plastic rings is an Android PP reader.

That's great news. I think it's a good thing to do, because it's making it a lot easier for the buyer to use your online store, and people are much more likely to buy things if it's easier for them!

No, because our in-store purchases are all being run through Square as the rate is lower. Online sales will go through Pay Pal and then be entered into Framer-Ready as credit card payments. This should work for now. I guess as money (hopefully) accumulates in the Pay Pal account, I will ask them to transfer funds to our bank. Kind of messy, but this is the only way I can think of to deal with different methods of payment.
