Fired Delray cancer patient wins $8.1 million from Michaels

Good! That poor woman. Firing sick people under false pretenses of theft is not only immoral, it's downright evil. I hope she lives a long and happy life cancer-free.

Hopefully she will be able to collect at least a portion of the money someday. I'm sure Michaels will drag it out as long as possible.
Then they will have to adjust their 70% off discount to 50% off to pass the costs off to Michael's customers.
When I went through cancer treatment I had to go for radiation treatments 5 days a week for 6 1/2 weeks and chemo once a week for 6 weeks at the same time.
I worked every day and one day after about 3 weeks of treatment when I had second degree burns on my neck from radiation and my strength was down, I came back to work after treatment and my boss and her husband had taken the leather chairs from her office and put them together in the frame shop so I could lie down and rest for a while to get myself together so I could go back to work.
I guess that's what's different about working for an independent "small" business, and working for a corporation like Michaels.
Michaels probably would have fired me or made up some B.S. about me.

Her superiors should be so ashamed....

Her superiors proved quite inferior.

And you know they will appeal and if she is lucky she will end up with a couple of hundred thousand dollars.
