So a customer just got back from L'Orangerie in Paris where she bought a panoramic piece from Monet's Nympheas collection. In the drymounting process the piece was damaged, and I'm in need of a replacement. I have contacted the Museum directly but am waiting for a response. They don't have it available in their online store. the piece is the third one down on This Page Any Help Finding one would be greatly appreciated.

Ouch!! Have you tried all the websites? Art.com, Allposters.com, New York Graphics, Bruce McGaw? You may have a problem with finding the right size. Or if it is a detail section of the original vs. the whole. I would try a European webiste.

Good luck.

Yep, Yep, yep, Tried them all, and found exactly that, some of just details, with wrong proportions. I'm really just hopping that someone from the Museum will email me back.

...or I could take a little time off and fly over to pick one up for you. After all, I AM closer to Paris than you are.

The 'This Page' link dosen't seem to work for me. Do you have the exact title?

"Reflets verts" (Green Reflections)
200 x 850 cm,
deux panneaux
de 200 x 425 cm.

Now there is more than one painting titled Green Reflections, but the other is a more square image, this is a panoramic, and the poster is actually 2 panels (deux panneaux) Put together to make one image.

Erik:

Is this the place you contacted online??

I found (and translated) this site for you, it says they offer those pictures for professionals.

Photo Agency Link

Hope they can help you.

PS: Are the measurements correct? 850 CM is 8.5 meters, that's quite long!

Paul, Thank you for these links. The first one is for the museum itself, and yes that's who i emailed yesterday, but have gotten no response.

The second however looks to be very promising That's the company that produced the poster. I'm trying to fill out the request form, but only some of those pages allow you to translate them, . I'm still digging through, but this has been the most promising lead I've found yet. Thanks again.

Oh, those meausurements are from the original painting. The poster is 62 1/4" x 15 1/8" (158.1cm x 38.4cm)

Paul, Thank you very much. Through the RMN site, i was able to find a company called Art Resource, in New York, that handles all of the US requests for images from the RMN. I called them up, sent of an email, and they will be emailing me a digital file with which I will be making a reproduction. Now I just need to find a local(ish) print shop that can do the print for me at a semi reasonable cost.

The Grumble at its best...get 'er done!
