Couple of pics for you. I made the fillet spinner out of a $3.00 susan and some scrap pile material I had left over from covering my walls. Real simple project, don't think we need an explanation, but if so just ask.

Here is a pic of a 3 tier mat corner rack. Purchased a pc. of glued up 24x36 aspen
at Lowes and split to 12x36 routed edges
over. Used a pc of 15x36 aspen for bottom
shelf. Drilled holes for dowels and added furniture casters/coat of stain and poly.
About $60.00 and 45mins. not counting
drying time. Easy project.

I'll try to post a picture of a spinner
that I build for less than $100.00 that
is same design as the Nielsen that sells for $680.00

Assuming the fillets are attached with Velcro®, what are you using, strips or fabric?

I had plans to build a matrack just like that. How sturdy is it?

What great ideas. I need one of those filet displays. Would you consider building for others?
I would love to buy one from you.

Jennifer it is so easy to build. Cut (or have your home center do it)
2pc. 3/4" x 10 1/2" x 18" particle board sides A&D

2pc. 3/4" x 9" x 18" sides B & C

1pc. 3/4" x 9" x 9" bottom

1 pc. 3/4" x 11" x 11" top

Cover each of 4 sides with velcro loop fabric (aval. from United) using fabric glue / wrap over sides and staple on back. Assembly four side pcs. using finish nails thru fabric (You can sink nail heads and puff fabric back up)

Assemble bottom inside of box use just built.
Attatch lazy susan to underside. Using hot melt apply a pc of loop fabric or felt to other surface of susan to keep from scratchin counter (Or the other side of susan can be attached to another 3/4" base but harder and unecessary)

Nail on top, and your done.

This loop fabric is the mating surface to the velcro chevrons that are on your fillet samples.

If that ain't clear as mud, what is?

Jay H: The three tier mat rack is very sturdy when loaded because of the weight.

Just an added note regarding stability of three tier mat rack. It is stable when being moved in its long direction. If pulling toward you on its short direction (depth) I would suggest using two hands, one on each corner, otherwise you most likely will tip it.
