Since the Grumble is such a font of knowledge and expertise, what are YOUR favorite Grumble tips that you have gleaned from its treasure trove?

My most recent favorite tip is to use a square of tape at the bottom of dust covers before attaching bumpons. No more "bump-offs"!

Another favorite tip is to label dust brushes: one for workbench and one for artwork. Simple, elegant - and VERY useful idea!

What are your favorite tips?????

Good Thread!

When using mylar corners and the artwork/paper is very thin, cracked or hard to handle and it can be hard to get it to slide in, I use the old backer sheets of the mylar corners (they are slick) on top and bottom of corner of artwork - make a sandwich. Makes it really easy to slide the corner over the more stable materials. Adhere corner to backer board. Pull the other sheets out and it is perfectly in place.

It was regarding pricing (of course!). It was basically after quoting a price you think is too high for your tastes to wait a few seconds before offering a discount! The customer tends to say to the extent of "$450,...pause... gee, I thought it would be more."

I used to offer a discount during the pause because I felt uncomfortable! The customer didn't think it was too high, so now I let the customer respond to the price before I do. Thank you who ever it was!
