We have a long bridal veil to frame. It's believed to be a synthetic material but I can't rule out the possibility it's silk. The question is, does UV spectrum light have as much of a detrimental effect on material as it does on color?

Silk looses half of its strength in 220 hours
of sunlight. UV also affects synthetic fabrics
and should be filtered out.
