I didn't realize this on isn't in the top three. Seems there were many framers using it under one of the lease programs. The new version has many added bells and whistles. So, anyway, maybe there will be interest in this one, also.

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for starting this thread. According to the recent technology poll, there are at least 5 Grumblers that use EZ Framer. This will be a great place for those folks to share tips!

Mike

PS: Here is a post of the ground rules that I posted in the other threads:

As framers, we have a lot of things on our plates. Speaking for myself, some things get neglected because i'm comfortable with them and because they work so well. This thread is an opportunity to re-visit pos software, catch up on the newest features, review some old features that we may not be aware of, discuss backup methods, review documentation, and to share tips and tricks.

This thread was started to exchange tips and tricks which specifically relate to this software product, in the positive spirit of the grumble. Everyone is proud of their investment, so we have made dedicated threads for several products. (others are free to start threads if you have a product not mentioned) Opinions about other products, feature requests, tech support, bug reports, and complaints DO NOT belong in this thread. Such things should be communicated directly to the vendor, through their official support channels. This is about helping each other in a positive way, so 'threadcrapping'/dirty laundry/politics/abuse will not be tolerated. There, I said it

How do some of your favorite features work? Are there any tips that may benefit users of the same product?

With that, I turn the floor over to you...

With EZ-Framer, there's no excuse for any framer (with a computer) not to have a pos program. The lease program makes it possible to have a way to track orders and keep the updates, well, up to date. It's easier to price orders and have it "official."

It's true, many of the other programs offer many more bells and whistles, but for a small to mid-size shop, this is great.

I have the new version, but haven't had the time to investigate all the new stuff, yet.

Betty, when did you get your last update from Ezframer? On the software, not vendors. I just got mine about two weeks ago and I've lost the ability to do a work order with wholesale cost. The tech people at nutech said they are working on it. Other than that the new features they added are great.

The tech man at Nutech said they have over 500 shops on their lease program. Do you think there are that many frame shops out there that aren't visiting the Grumble?

Bumped to top for further sharing of info
