Is there an on-line source for name plaques of artists and the particular framed work? Or what do you suggesr? Thanks Tom

Welcome to the Grumble!

You can go to most any trophy shop in your area and have brass nameplates custom cut with whatever information you desire on them. They are cheap and come in a variety of sizes, styles, and mounting options.

I like to buy locally also, but our local trophy shop lacks spelling skills.
We've had good luck with Awards and Presentations
1-800-452-1052. I fax him the order and it's in the mail the next day. Good prices, good quality. Tell Bill I sent you if you call.
 
Brassco Engraving in Dallas is excellent. John is a great proof reader. His plates are not scratched or dented and the printing is straight on the plate....that is, as you have experienced, quite an accomplishment in the engraving business. Brassco has plates in gold silver, brushed gold, silver, black and a few others. He does custom cutting plus offers a good selection of pre cut styles and his turnaround time is very good.

I have referred several people to them and all have been very satisfied. They have always been helpful when I didn't quite know what I needed. They only charge by size, not by letter as many places do.
