Nothing special, but I thought the piece turned out very nice.
Small print by Russell Smith with remarque.
In person, mat color is almost dead on the color of the clouds.

Wizard's embossing package just to add some balance to the mat.
Note: Con non-glare glass made the embossing stand out much more than con. clear.

Mats: No clue, just a small piece of scrap laying around.
Fillet: Nurre
Frame: Something cheap from local supplier.
(No it is not gapped. Just the way the mitres look in the flash)

Project was a joint effort by myself and Letha @ South Hill Gallery - Lexington KY.

I agree!

Baer,

Remember the little old English lady describing her RAF husband's battle with the "fokkers". She ended by saying the "Fokkers" were flying Messerschmitts.

Steven,

It might be a "cheap" frame, but it is an excellent complement to the art - especially the gold with the plane.

The whole project was basically playing with the embossing package.
We were able to go even smaller! The whole idea of the embosser is great.
Someone good with CAD could really get some nice designs out of it.
I am still playing with the wizard software figuring out what it can do.

Its for my personal collection and it was just one of those projects that turned out better than expected.

.....I am not trying to cause a fight here!!
Remember the "discussion" about remarques the other day on the grumble.
This took Russ some time. I personally am very impressed with the quality of the remarque when you look at the size!

Framer Dave - I must have been typing my response while you were doing yours because I did not see it until I posted.

......I was wondering how long it took someone to bring up the "mindless doodle" ;)

. . . and I was thinking.... "why didn't he just mat straight to the picture... then he wouldn't have to mess with that notchout Fokker". :D

Very nice  The colours of the mats & moulding compliment the print very well. What a great addition to your personal collection of art.
