I know that Lieberman's can add brush strokes http://www.liebermans.net/canvastransfers.aspx

Googling "add brushstrokes to canvas transfer" brings up a few other things that might be of interest

Andrew... not sure if you are just looking for the "brush stroke" technique that Larry suggested or full embellishments.
