Hmm, We just received the new Nurre line of ecoCare moulding samples. They are touted as eco friendly. To quote: "This moulding is manufactured using timber harvested from managed and sustainable forests. The finishes are produced using water based stains and are eco-friendly."

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on these.:icon9:

I was just talking to my Framerica rep, he said that they have been certified as a green product.

Framerica® is honored to have been licensed by the Composite Panel Association and its Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) Downstream Program. The program is designed to provide retailers, distributors, designers, specifiers, OEM’s and consumers an easy way to identify environmentally responsible products. Framerica®’s New York based manufacturing headquarters has been designated an "EPP Downstream Licensed Facility" – signifying its pledge to produce mouldings using some of the greenest core materials available. In order to qualify as an EPP Downstream Facility, Framerica® will continue its commitment to sourcing more than half (nearly all of Framerica®’s substrate qualifies) of its substrate from CPA EPP certified composite wood sources.
Since Framerica®’s BonanzaWood® branding is only applied to the finest quality substrate, this commitment was natural. In fact, Framerica®’s own rigorous requirements meant that nearly all of its BonanzaWood® had already qualified for certification. The CPA EPP Certification Program is the most widely-specified environmental certification program for composite wood panels in North America.* If you’re looking for assurance that the products you purchase are environmentally responsible, look no further than the EPP Downstream logo.

I don't think this is a big deal right now, but I bet it will be in the future. I have also gotten a line of eco-friendly mouldings from Universal moulding.

Eco has it's place if it gets and keep business.

Litteraly just got off the phone with a client. They went with us due to the design and the materials.

What clinched it was the mldg was American made BW from Framica (errrrr, Framerica) The stainless looking stuff.

That whole sustainable and green thing. It works if you push it.

And match it with board/paper/rag waste reuse.
And acrylic bins, etc.
