For those in earthquake prone areas, what are you using for earthquake safety in corporate installations? What is your balance between price, safety and speed of installation?

I'm working on another pediatric dental office and I am having discussions with various installers as I want the kids to be safe. Earthquakes are on everyone's minds in CA these days.

Acrylic and Security Hangers (or something that will keep the frame on the wall - no matter where the wall is).

This is what we are planning for this job. Does anyone use a combination of Z bar and a bottom rail lock? One installation company that we work with likes this method.

It depends on what we are hanging.

We use a combination of both. For a large acrylic box (sorry Kirstie :)) we used the combo -
and for heavy pieces we used the z bar/t-lock combo as well. Almost compulsory in Hospitals and we have to find two studs and sometimes re-drill the z bar for better placement. Beats getting an OSPHD permit.
