Hope I'm not making a BIG mistake. Bought a Drytac HGP260 at Skyline Pictures for $1995 plus shipping. I've never owned a dry mount machine before, but have been looking at them for years. This is the cheapest price I could find online, and it looks like it is in pristine condition. It is approximately 10 years old, and has only been used about 20 times. Any comments?
I don't have that brand but had heard good things about it. As long as it is in good working order you can make your money back in no time. If you haven't heard of Kool Tack mounting boards take a look at them and the companion Per-malon release board.
My Corona press has a glass top like the Drytac, and the Permalon release board is see-through so you can take advantage of the glass top. Used with Kool Tack boards it gives you an ultra smooth mount.
Thanks so much for your support. I have heard of Kool Tack. In fact, tried it with an iron. That's when I decided I really needed a dry mount machine.
I have not heard of Permalon release board, and thank you very much for enlightening me on this. I looked it up on the internet, and it looks like something I'm going to need.
