I have been doing a large job for a client of mine she has a collection of images on a 1200mm x 90 m MDF and stuck these images onto the board using doble sided tape and some of the tape has given way and the images are either falling off or are loose so i have been using Dry Mounting Tissue and my Hot Press to mount the images and a problem has developed.

A small piece of Dry Mount tissue found its way onto the face of one of these images and is 20mm x 5mm wide.

The question I have is how do you remove this offending piece of dry mount tissue?

Thank you

Yes, use a solvent that would dissolve the adhesive without attacking the image itself.

If that spot of dry mount tissue is on a border that would be covered by the mat or frame, you could just leave it there. Or, if it is on a visible part of the image, then removing it probably would leave a permanent change of texture on that bit of the image.

In any case, good luck. This is a problem that has been eliminated by using pre-adhesive dry mounting boards. I suggest you try Kool Tack (my favorite and a sponsor) at the first opportunity.
