I have 38" x 48" photo, digi print , glossy paper to mount. I thought instead of foam, I would mount to mat board and sintra. I thought to first make up the mat board and sintra into a unit in the vacuum press and then glue the print to the mat board.
I was planing on using Colormount or equal (film) for the Sintra to mat board and a tissue for the photo to mat board.
Both my tissue and film are less than 38" wide.
FEEDBACK PLEASE!!

My tests of both film and tissue don't show good results with the sintra.

Sintra is PVC and will distort with heat.

Mounting to Sintra is best achieved with cold roller mounting.

Here is a link to my dropbox and a PDF on everything you ever wanted to know about Sintra, https://www.dropbox.com/s/t80ib3mpqhqejo9/sintra.pdf?m

What is the purpose of the Sintra in your mounting application?

Why mount to matboard? Especially with a glossy photo?

Mounting a glossy photo to matboard will show every variation in the mounting substrate. You will not get a smooth surface, especially with heat mounting.

Your best bet for a glossy photo is one of the Kool Tack products. http://www.kooltack.com/COMPETITION_PLATE_SELL_SHEET.jpg

Looks like the right product. Just wish it was on the Decor truck.
