11x14 opening, 2-1/8" high, 2-3/8" width, 1-5/32 under lip 2,387 hand-cut
scales, glued, ironed and hammered into place. 43 hours before finish was started.

Baer, if you are going to make 6 more of these, you may end up insane. Or at least cross-eyed. Wow. A beautiful thing.
 
Incredible frame Baer. You did the artwork justice and vice versa. :thumbsup:
 
If this frame is a bonus for a higher level of donation to the book project, a photo of this frame might have bumped a few donations to a higher category.....:)
 
Hammered? Of course I'm hammered.... I've been working for at lea. . . . .

Oh . . . the veneer.. ummm yes.

But I'm using the cold glue, and then heating it into place, then the hammer.
For the little pieces it works better.

Now we will see what the white gas and fine ground rouge will yield on the veneer .... :help:


Rob, if you had read the first update....... OK, so it wasn't quite the same..... but more "leathery"....
