So this frame needed to be double sided and the art removable. My solution was to route the bottom leg and route a hole on the bottom right leg to slide a stick in that would hold the art in place. rather complicated little job but turned out nice and the client was quite pleased. The record sits in a 1/8" thick wood "mat" with museum glass on both sides.

Very clever design and execution! Have you applied a sealant to stop acid migration from the timber? Very very awesome!

All surfaces inside and out are stained and clear coated with water based lacquer. It took about 4 hrs. not including a few trial and errors. I had never done this before so it was difficult to come up with an estimate but the client was happy at $490.00. The piece is 15 x 15.

hard to see what you did on the bottom - nice job.

I also meant to ask if you'd done this before and if you hadn't how you charged for the design etc...Well you answered that question too!

Thanks again!
