Hello!
I was wondering if anyone has heard of a double sided jersey shadow box so that the front and back can be seen at the same time. It doesn't need to be a custom sized acrylic case, just a pre-made item the customer can hang the jersey inside. I priced up an custom acrylic box for her and it was more than she wanted to spend. I have no idea if something like this exists, but I thought I'd check.
Thanks!

Have you checked with Gemini Moulding, Inc. www.geminimolding.com or 800-323-3575. I do believe they have them in acrylic. A double sided shadow box is not that hard to construct using wood moulding. I don't know if you have the equipment to do it but I have made a couple and they do look OK. Lots of luck

How about a little more essential information...
1. Suspended from the ceiling with walk-around area?
2. Hanging on a wall by an edge, for viewing from opposite sides?
3. Hanging on wall as usual, with visual access by taking it down?
4. What is the budget?

Probably the cheapest, simplest presentation would be to suspend a hanger from the top of an acrylic box, which is open at the bottom, with hanging wires extending up from each side to the ceiling. The same configuration could be placed on a shelf, on a table, or on the floor.

Hi,
sorry I should've been more specific! I think she is going to suspend it from the ceiling with cables so you can walk around it. I priced up a gemini showcase acrylic case and it was way to much, I think she's looking for very inexpensive (~$200) which is taking any custom configuration I would do out of the equation. I was hoping there was something like that Nielsen basic RM shadow box but with two sides of acrylic out there in the world.
thanks.

Let her know if she can track down a new Mercedes for under $10,000 I am in the market for one of those.

Ha! Yeah, I thought as much. I found something during a google search that I think she'd be happy to go with, but it's so chintzy that I'm loathe to even bring it up to her.

She's not going to get the look she wants for the $$ she wants to spend...I would think any ready made shadowbox big enough for the jersey and with the backing replaced by acrylic would have to suffice. Anyone used Larson Juhl's jersey frames? Would they be adaptable to backing with acrylic?
