Domed Glass

Thank you Peter.... I was wondering who would be first to coat convex
and dome glass.... here in the USA.

I had to get my Museum like convex glass from Australia....

thanks Les (RealHotGlass)

Baer,

The domes are UV acrylic. To get the 5" rise needed for a bouquet glass isn't viable. We do have UV acrylic convex as well. The convex has a roughly 1" rise depending on the size.

We actually looked into bending conservation glass, but were told the coatings would not survive the heating and stress.

That's true Peter, you have to make your own coatings, and apply to the glass yourself !
Not an easy process . . .

You can slump SOME optically coated low reflection glasses, within certain parameters, without losing the coatings.
TV Museum isn't one of them, as they use the same coating as the UV clear.
