Where on earth can I find what is called 'Dutch Ripple ' type moulding? It is a small section carved or pasta moulding with what look like small waves or ripples across it's width. It was common in 17th Century ebony type frames, and I have seen and admired it on contemporary replicas. Where do I find it for sale by the length? Does anyone know?

Larson Juhl has several as does both Abe Munn and Max Munn (Munn Frameworks). All of which can be found on line.

Larson-Juhl has several (650CB is one - 2" wide) although their finish is more contemporary. If you are handy at finishing, their basic finish can be antiqued.

The black Munn Dutch frames are accurate reproductions and have an excellent antique patina. Length can be purchased from the New York City factory - Abe Munn - 800-847-4026. However,I don't know whether this would work for you with trans-Atlantic shipping.

www.1642designs.com,
I make ripple molding, although I'm in the U.S., so shipping is a bit of an issue. I can duplicate any ripple pattern that I've ever seen in the period. And it's actual wood, not compo.

Hi Philip, and welcome to the G.

Great information to have, but the thread is 20 years old, and the OP hasn't been on for 12 years.

If you are interested in promoting your business, we have a commercial forum for that.

Beautiful work BTW.

Hi, Philip. Welcome, and we're so glad that you found us!

After reading Nick's note, I trotted off to your site, and.......wow!
This deserves a thread of it's own, so more Grumblers will notice.
