Could you please give me your best guess as to whether an F-3000 will fit in the back of a Dodge Grand Caravan? If I take the back two seats out and lay the main post between the seats in the front? Any chance of closing the hatch? Thanks!

Yes just remove the right side support which is just a handful of screws. It will take about 3 minutes to remove.

THANKS!

Wonderful news. A couple screw drivers and set of wrenches should do the job?

Removing the right side is no big deal. You're going to have to square the unit up once it's reinstalled anyway. I have worked on a few of the 3000's and I even have the original VHS tape for installation and squaring it up. I'm sure it's available as a download if you need it. I'm a big fan of the 3000.

Even with the right side removed, it may still be a challenge.

The post assembly is about 70" and the left side measuring support is 48". If it doesn't fit it's because you aren't hitting it hard enough Paul.:D

Roll down the window!

I guess I'll just have to get my wife to roll down her passenger side window and put the post out window. She can take a joke or atleast I think so. Thanks again for the help.

The last Grand Caravan that I had would take 48" x 96" plywood, flat on the floor, and 10 foot frame sticks up between the front seats. It's wider everywhere else clear of the wheel wells.

It should I have a Scion Xb and it fit in the back of it with just the right side removed.

Yep, I took the right side off and put mine inside of a Honda Element. Not flat, but if fit.

Make sure you have blankets though. Otherwise it can scratch your interior.

Good Idea

Janet, Thanks for the great idea. Now I know why we kept those old blankets she said we would need one day. I thought she knew we were going to move again. John

The answer is......

Yes, A couple of screws and right wing came off. Wrapped in a blanket and went right in the back and rode home happy as a lark! Thanks for all your input.
