I have a customer that needs corner samples for a school project. If anyone is discontinuing any samples and you were going to throw them out she will pay for boxing and shipping to get them. She said as many as one hundred would be great. I will pay for them and they can be shipped to my shop where she will pick them up. Thanks, Mike

What a great way to recycle and help your community! If it weren't for the border hassles, I'd send you ours. Do you know if they want wood only, or just any and all corners?

Thanks J Paul. Work me up a price and we will go from there. As to wood/metal she is interested in wood, any size shape compo whatever. Maybe I can get her to photograph the results of the project when it is finished. Thanks, Mike

Mike, it looks like a sizable box of around 60lb. would go UPS ground for around $30.00 or so. Might be a few days before I could get it dropped off at UPS. If you want them let me know, I see you have a second offer, so it really doesn't matter.

Thanks J Paul, The lady that needs these is coming to my shop this Thurs. afternoon to show me what they are doing with the samples. I will email you after I talk to her if she is still interested. Thanks again. Mike

I have a teacher that admitted that she dumpster dived at another local framer. She uses the triangles and little pieces generated when cutting moulding for a unit in making African masks. They are pretty cool. When I go to my wholesaler, I get her boxes and boxes! My supplier is happy to help. No more dumpster diving for this teacher! :o

There is so much that we can be doing with our scrap to help our community. Besides donating matboard fallout, making 8 x10's for an art association, and getting those little trianges, I wish that I knew more ways to help.

J Paul & Mikki, Here is what I found out. For her project she needs samples that are mitered like we miter a frame. My samples are mitered backwards, I think this is called "chevron" mitered and they won't work. The corner samples I showed years ago would have been ok but we don't show samples cut that way anymore. Does this make sense? Do either of you know if the samples you have are mitered the old way? Mike

OK I have to comment: Get out the power miter saw and cut the ends off on the angle that you want. What am I missing?

I have a framer next door that has at least 100. Want 'em?
