Disappearing post

Carladea, somebody with ominous powers removes it for whatever reason they deem important*.

*Translation - one of the moderators takes it off due to either it's getting ugly, it's getting too big, or someone has complained about the content.

That must be the new post in the garbage bin.

I didn't put it there. At 11:17 on April 1, I was on interstate 39 between Bloomington and Rockford, Illinois heading north at a high rate of speed. I have two witnesses who will testify in court on my behalf.

I don't have internet access in my Honda Odyssey, but I'm working on it.

In light of all the facts, I'd say the moderators are completey out-of-control. :D

Hey,

Welcome back oh Great White Leader!! How was the vacation?

We were all good while you were gone. No need to go back and check anything, it was all dull dull dull.

Honest.

I'm only a moderator on Warped, so I don't have a clue what post you mean, either, Carla. What Forum was it on??

That would be the one in the Business Forum on purchasing an ad in a directory. The fact that it happened to be a Church directory was misunderstood and misconstrued and after it was gotten back on track, was then "moderated, reworded and retuned" and finally dismissed altoghether.

The moral of the story is, networking is great, deciding where to network is a personal decision.

I've recovered the post to The Grumble Forum. Any comments about the move should be made here and let the original message continue on it's normal cycle.

Thanks
framer

What is left of the original "disappearing post" only makes some sense to those of us that were aware of the original post in its entirety before the FIRST edit by a moderator.

I think once that was done, it had some comments that didn't make sense, but better that it was put back on than totally deleted. Unless the originator wants to start the post totally over to have a "fresh start" on the line of interest of his topic - which I thought was very good!

I will now put this to sleep.

That would be the first and only edit.

This thread, like the Charity print sale thread, had a simple misunderstanding or misconsturment. The initial thread has merit.

I got some "report post" messages.

I took approriate action.

But, in this world of instant gore, like on TV right now, some folks who missed the car wreck before it got cleaned up, and were just stuck in traffic without the gratification of seeing the roadside mess, and feel they missed out.

For those who missed it.
Gerold (NOT Ledsone, but another Gerold) made a tangent comment of a post.

Bob responded stongly.

Roz , Mcphoto, and I think one other person too echoed Bobs thoughts.

Less came in on the other side, or at least, re-framing Gerold's post.

Gerold posted again realizing that the tanget thought was too far of a tangent to be usefull.

All the zero content posts got dumped. mcphoto havhing some content go edited. (once)

That was not good enough.

Someone who it seems, wanted to jump in on the fray, or not post, but at least see it degenerate further expressed the feelings to me in a flamey way deletion is better than letting a good thread live on.

carladea,
I obliged, but put it in the holding tank and not actual thread deletion.

I knew that framer would re-vive when he checked the tank.

If they insist that deletion is better, they can now take it to framer.

I really don't think that you intended to have a slug-match on your best $5 thread.

The subjects brougt up were true tangents to your post.

If the people who flet strongly in what they said, they were more then welcome to make a new topic about what they wished to discuss (I use that word loosely).
