We're looking into offering restoration services and have received material from both DigitalCustom and Hollywoodfotofix for review. If anyone out there is using either service, can you please post the pros and cons of whichever one you're using?

Have had very good results for DigCust.. ... and Jeff Makoff is a nice guy to hang out with across the country.

DC has been great in our shop, and they actually show an interest in the industry by investing in booths at our industry trade shows. They know our industry, and have marketing materials designed to help us sell the product.

If you have LifeSaver, there is a huge additional benefit. Support is already built in.

If you have Lifesaver, Digital Custom integrates pricing with the software. Although I don't have Lifesaver, I hear that this feature is convenient. I believe that soon Digital Custom will offer this with some of the other software programs for framers.

Digital Custom has marketing materials for framers and supports PPFA. Jeff has talked about digital services to many of the PPFA chapters. They have made it so easy for us framers to get into this industry by very patiently answering our questions and concerns. Their customer service is topnotch.

My vote goes to Digital Custom.

Digital Custom's service over the last two years has been great. They answer the phone, fix an error if they perhaps did not see part of your instructions, and do wonderful work. Customers love the results.

Gotta say DC is the way to go. Just took an order around 5:30 tonight, scanned it and sent it to DC with instructions on what I wanted around 6:15. Got home at 6:45 and checked my email, price quote was waiting for me, checked off a few boxes hit the "order" button and I am done. Just wait for it to be completed, customer paid in advance, my COG about 35%. Plus at least one of these will be custom framed when it comes in. Mom & Dad's wedding photo. There are 5 kids in family so you never know what might also come of it.

Yes. I tell customers that we keep a copy of the restoration on our computer in case they need us to order more copies.

I have used both, and initially I am not too fond of Hollywood fotofix. I was able to do a better job myself. But I did under the suggestion of Mike L. and am awaiting my first order from DC. So far I am very pleased, and Jeff M. I have heard is a very good guy.

I will keep posted, but right now...DC is taking my vote, for customer service, and price.

DC also allows some "special" things like large format prints if you're unable to do them yourself. I just had them print a 36x60 canvas print for our home. No retouching, pop-art, etc - just sent the file and had the big print made thru DC.
Great service, prices and support.

I have used Hollywoodfotofix and have been satisfied. I found them at the Vegas Show two years ago, so I would assume that is investing in the industry.

I have lifesaver, I can see Digital Custom in the "price" page but how do I access it on the Frame Invoice writing page?
