I have been using Lineco's "PH Neutral PVA"... I am running out and went to find it from United - nope. They have UMSCO "pure poly-vinyl acetate" white glue.

What should I look for when needing a PVA that I can use inside the conservation framing package to attach double mats, etc.?

Thanks,
Kari

Pure PVA, polyvinyl acetate adhesives, have the advantage of not containing unknown additives, as house hold versions of the same glue do. The Lineco PVA has one advantage, in that it contains calcium carbonate, that buffers the acetic acid that these glues produce, as they age, but other types, Jade 711, Elvace, etc. are fine products and when they are used in conjunction with buffered mat board, they provide a quick-setting, clear-drying, permenent, strong bond that should be stronger than the board, itself.
