I am hoping someone out here can help me out, I am looking for a Designer (or any other brand that will work) E-Z Hinge. This is used for metal frames and is a spring loaded corner plate so somebody can change out the picture inside the frame.

Designer does not make this item anymore and I have checked with United and Impex. If anyone has any around their shop I would like to take them off your hands.

Tim, I'm not in the shop, but I think I might have some of these. I'll check tomorrow and let you know.

There are two problems. I may have trouble locating them, since I haven't used them since I moved 3 years ago.

The other, possibly more serious problem, is that, in my opinion, they don't work worth a ****. If you've used them and you like them - fine. But I used them once and I hated them. Among other problems - the two top corners (the ones with the springs) never lined up, so the frame always looked bad.

Actually I do like them.....there is a good way to make them install better. But regardless, they get little demand, thus I also probably have a few around the shop......and unlike my buddie, Ron, in this instance, I know exactally where they are.

How many sets do you need. Send me an email with a mailing address, and if it's a small quantity, then they'll go out to you.

Another place to check.....Valley Moulding in North Hollywood, CA. They used to have them in stock.....worth a phone call.

I have about a half dozen sets if you don't get enough from the 2 Cheeseheads!! :D

I like them, too. I'm sorry to hear Decor is no longer selling them, and hope someone will take up the task of continuing to offer them.

I have a few left, but now that they're collector's items, my price may be prohibitive. :eek:
