Help! I need 8' of number 604400, it is a deep shadow box antique silver with large beads. They told us back in March that it would be available in May. May came along and they told us it had not been ordered at all.

I also need 30' of Design Guild number 807100. It is about 1 3/4" wide, black with a red rub and small reverse beading just inside the lip. Design Guild just called me and said it would not be available until June. I handed the phone to Mary since she was who placed the order, they told her it would not be available until July. Mary told them that translates to it will not be available anytime soon, if at all.

Like most companies today, Design Guild seems to be having problems with inventory, so I'm hoping one of you guys might have some of these. I just wish they could be upfront about the availability times, or if they had even ordered it.

I had convinced my customer that the silver shadow box was worth waiting for, now all I can tell him is I will refund his money. Very frustrating.

You can try Yale Picture Frame at 718-788-6200 or 800-331-YALE. They carry a good part of Design Guild's line and might have it. They are in NY but if they have it then it is worth your while.

The black can be found with International Moulding which owns Tracy and Valley. Item #1315-35

Call Design Guild back and have them find out if any of their distributors or what ever has any. They should know who has what. It's just good customer relations.

Chris Hilger, our Design Guild Rep. called this morning. She told us that we could get the #604400 from ABC Moulding in Colorado, I just ordered it and it's shipping today.

Chris also said that the #807100 was on their dock and would be shipped soon.

It seems to me that their telephone order department people are kept in the dark as to the status and availability of out of stock mouldings. That would be a problem created by their management and should be corrected. They had absolutely no clue about either of these mouldings, so they just winged it.

Chris apparently saw this thread and did the work.
