Just used some of the last of my DenGlas in a couple frames... :(. I really liked it ...not to worry about scratching and almost as good as MG. Didn't have to be concerned about what side faced out... :icon20:. No visible flaws and, at least near the end, it was less expensive than MG.

Wish TruVue would use their technology and produce such a product.

It was nice glass Dave . . . stock in Aus in all but gone now too.

Like you said, you could cut it either side, seam it with a diamond pad, wipe it off without any worries about scratching, then glaze it either way !

I wonder if the folk that bought Denton Vacs equipment for that plan to start making it again ??
Seems like a strange production line to buy, then not do anything with it.

I loved that glass!
Still have a box of 32 x 40 and 40 x 60 left.

Saving it for "special customers"

It didn't have the orange peel artifacts of the TruVue spray on UV either.
Nice Glass.

"It didn't have the orange peel artifacts of the TruVue spray on UV either.
Nice Glass."

And it doesn't have the same level of UV protection, either. The comparison should be made with TrueVue AR Glass.

Pat ...no, I'm talking about the UV glass. In chat they said it was only made for a short time before they went under.

Yes, Actually, the Denglas UV product had BETTER UV filtering than the TruVue variety.
The Denglas UV was dipped and hardened, soo the UV filter was on BOTH sides but didn't scratch. And because it was dipped, it didn't have the "orange peel" effect that the TV spraying causes. A much better proiduct.

but, <sigh> it's gone.

The UV product I ordered direct from Denton Vacuum (Denglas) was a 3 piece laminate with very thin sheets of glass sandwiching an acrylic UV filter. I am unaware of any other UV product they made, though I did see them in Atlanta after the Sandel Glass debacle, and they promised to send samples and pricing....oh well

I guess I wasn’t as enamored as most of you guys. I found Denglas to have an awful lot of surface blemishes.

I do, however, miss the choices we used to have including ImagePerfect. In the past, I think the competition among the premium glass manufacturers helped keep the costs down.

We still have some in our stock if anyone is still looking for some. Available regular Denglas is 32 x 40, 36 x 48, and 40 x 60.
Also have a few museum 32x 40 still around. Uv blocking capabilities for this was actually a bit lower than that of Tru-vue but it was preferred by museums around the country.
