I am framing an already framed chalk board that the client simply wants to put a piece of acrylic over the entire thing - chalkboard and its wooden frame...but...she wants decorative brass corners that we can nail or screw in (with holes through the plexi and into the frame). The corners would thereby hold the acrylic on the frame.

Wondering if anyone knows where such things might be sold?

How about mirror rosettes?

They have a special screw that goes into the wall through the plexi (or mirror) and then a decorative rosette screws into the special screw that has a threaded hole in it.

There are many to choose from. Try www.crlaurence.com

Some come with a sleeve that will protect the mirror (or acrylic) from chipping or allow for expansion/contraction of the hole especially in acrylic:

Alternatively, you could use Standoff Caps. Try www.standoffsystems.com

Like Jeff's corners.

These little gizmos are maybe more readily available.
