We have a Dahle table-model paper cutter which we use for squaring matboard. It cuts very well, but the hold-down clamp could be tighter. It seems to let the board rotate clockwise as it is cut, pulling the left end of the bottom edge away from the ruler/guide slightly, and resulting in a slightly out-of square blank. Anyone know if there is a way to adjust the clamp for better holding performance?

Hi Rick. I have one too. When I first got mine in, about a year ago, although brand new, I had the same problem, so i had to adjust it. On each end of the "angle-iron", there is a nut and a screw...loosen the nut while holding the screwdriver in the slot. After this, use only the screwdriver to adjust the angle-iron up and down. After you adjust it tighten up the nut, but hold the screwdriver in the slot to stop it from turning and messing up your adjustment. Something else you might want to check is the "rubber pad" under the angle-iron. I noticed I will have to change mine if i am not careful...sometimes i hit it with the matbard. I certainly agree with you about your satisfaction...i wouldn't replace it for anything.... Good luck, i hope what I explained will help and I hope we are talking about the same model... the model i have is "Dahle 585".
