Has anyone ever used a table saw to cut 1/2" gator? judging by the curved lines on the clean edges, it looks like the manufacture uses some sort of circular blade to cut it to size at the plant.

i need clean edges on the 35x45 posters i'm mounting and am tempted to try it on the table saw. i know Elmer's recommends a 40 tooth/5 cross cut blade for mighty core...

also, any suggestions on hanging hardware. i was thinking some sort of aluminum j-hook.

any thoughts?

thin kerf, finish blade w/as any teeth as you can get, and do it sloooooowly and probably finish off with fine sand paper/block(just to evenout the swirl marks)

You don't have a wall mounted cutter? My Fletcher cuts it just fine.

Well, I have a Fletcher wall cutter but it's not the model that uses the big blades. It has the turret with the tiny mat cutting blade, glass scorer and acrylic blade.

Oh.... never mind.

When you cut it on a table saw, keep the blade as low as possible so it doesn't want to rip out the back.

You can cut it like wallboard by scoring it and snapping it, but when I worked in a graphics shop a while back, they used a table saw and it cut like butter. It also cut well in their computerized router and with a jigsaw.
